A new study by Rena Hallam, PhD, a nationally-recognized expert on early care and education, sheds new light on childcare arrangements for families with young children in Newark. The survey of nearly 200 families shows how patterns of childcare usage differ from national norms, and how the patterns break down by race/ethnicity – allowing for greater targeting of specific communities.
